Professors Heimann and Coupland were kindly sponsored by the World Sight Foundation to travel from the UK to Alor Setar, Malaysia (via Kuala Lumpur) to give lectures at a two-day symposium on Ocular Oncology, organized by Dr Haslina Ali, Head of Ophthalmology at the Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah.
On Sunday and Monday (May 24-25th), together with local invited guests, they gave several lectures each to an audience of 33 ophthalmologists and 92 trainees and also 18 pathologists, at the lecture theatre of the Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah. The participants came from all over Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, situated in Borneo. Some were from 3 local universities. The lecture programme can be accessed by clicking HERE.
