Great shot of the members and researchers at our 3 day European event held at the NW Cancer Research Centre in Liverpool last week! http://www.umcure2020.org/en/  @UMCURE2020

Scientists from the UMCure2020 consortium, comprised of 12 partners including the 'Melanoma Patient Network Europe’, met in Liverpool for the Annual General assembly meeting on Nov. 30th and Dec. 1st. The consortium is addressing advanced uveal melanoma, the most common ocular cancer in adults that spreads in ~50% of the patients to the liver. Such advanced disease at present is not curable.  A uveal melanoma Patients meeting also took place on the afternoon of Nov. 30th when the UMCure2020 scientists and clinicians interacted with the patients and their carers, getting feedback from them about their research.
