Congratulations are again in order for LOORG's lead, Professor Sarah Coupland, who has recently been appointed Trustee of OcuMelUK, and Vice Chair of the AJCC-UICC Ophthalmic Oncology Task Force.

Here at LOORG we are delighted of the move to support OcuMelUK further, a charity which represents people suffering with ocular (uveal) melanoma:

Equally the AJCC-UICC Ophthalmic Oncology Task Force aims to develop and implement common definitions for ocular cancer. These definitions were designed to be relevant for pathology diagnosis and clinical care. The AJCC-UICC eye cancer staging system was created by the ophthalmic community to perform as a scientific language enable research and improve clinical care.

Sarah’s appointment will both strengthen the Task Force and deepen the connections with the world of ophthalmic pathology, genetics and molecular biology.

Congratulations from everyone at LOORG!
