University of Liverpool's Sarah Coupland, Professor and Honorary Consultant in Pathology and lead at LOORG, proudly pictured with the Blue Volume on “The WHO Classification of Tumours of the Eye” released today.
Sarah says "This is a major achievement since the last version of this book was written in 1980, and needed a major update!
Together with a group of about 30 people, I was involved in writing many of the Chapters and subsections.
It took most of 2017. We then met in Lyon (the IARC headquarters, which produces the WHO Tumour series on all tumours in the body) in January 2018, and went through every single sentence, picture etc. over 3-4 days. After some final ’touch ups’ during the year, it has finally come out, just in time for Xmas!"
