Prof. Sarah Coupland was cordially invited to Guangzhou, China, earlier this month in her role as President of one of the supporting organizations of the 9th International Symposium of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Ophthalmic Pathology (ISOP).
The 9th ISO brought together over 2,000 delegates from more than 50 countries with over 400 excellent speakers from all over the world.
While Beijing and Shanghai are commonly known as the political and financial
centres of China, Guangzhou is the leading city in China for international trade
and commerce. Hosted by the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Centre (ZOC) and the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology (SKLO) of Sun Yat-Sen University, the leading eye centre in China for 5 year in a row, the 9th ISO was held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary celebration of the ZOC.
As a supporting organisation, the ISOP organised a 90-minute symposium on the platform provided by the 9th ISO. Prof. Coupland presented an Update on Ocular Lymphoma.
