LOORG Lead, Professor Sarah Coupland, has recently been appointed interim Director of the CRUK Liverpool Centre. Professor Michael Clague, Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology, will act as interim Deputy Director.
The Centre is a partnership between Cancer Research UK, the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, the University of Liverpool, the Liverpool City Council, and the Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network.
Scientists are focusing on childhood cancer and tumours affecting the eyes, as well as pancreatic cancer, hepatobiliary cancer, head and neck cancers, and blood cancers (leukaemias and lymphomas).
