Congratulations to Professor Bertil Damato on his recent appointment as President of the International Society of Ocular Oncology (ISOO). The appointment was announced at the 2011 Biennial Congress meeting in Argentina, on Tuesday 16th November.
ISOO is driven by a vision of providing a supportive platform for collaborative efforts to further advancement in the knowledge and practice of ophthalmic oncology worldwide. The Society formally brings together clinicians and researchers with special interest in the tumours of eye and adnexa.
Having served on the ISOO Committee for the past two decades, Professor Damato’s previous achievements also include, Founding Secretary and President of the European Ophthalmic Oncology Group, as well as President of the European Vision and Eye Research Association.
