At the UoL Staff Awards on Monday evening Dr Jenna Kenyani (Department of Molecular and Clinical Cancer Medicine) received this very well deserved award. Congratulations from all of us at LOORG Jenna and well done for all your hard work!
As a Time to Change champion, Jenna has made an outstanding contribution to tackling stigma around mental health at the University by speaking openly and honestly to a range of audiences about her own mental health and linking this to her working life.
Her passionate and candid style of public speaking has allowed listeners to get an insight into what living with mental health difficulties, amongst other disabilities, is really like. She has delivered talks to the Joint Staff Networks Event and allowed her talk ‘The Unspoken Truths about Living with Mental Illness’ to be filmed and shared as part of Wellbeing Week.
Jenna has also made an invaluable contribution by being a panel member for a review into mental health provision for staff at the University.
