CONGRATULATIONS - Professor Sarah Coupland receives International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) Ophthalmic Pathology Award at the opening ceremony of the World Ophthalmological Congress (WOC) in Barcelona.

 This award is given out every 4 years only, and the candidates  are discussed by an International Panel.

 It is associated with a medal as well as with the Naumann lecture, since the award was instigated by Profs. Gottfried and Lieselotte Naumann of Erlangen Germany.

Sarah was the fourth person to receive this medal/award, and actually the first UK person to receive it!

Sarah gave the Naumann lecture last Monday evening in Barcelona.
