CD released by former Liverpool patient

2/4/2015

Katie McKay was diagnosed with a tumour in her left eye in October 2011 and was treated in Liverpool until she received the good news that the tumour had gone in April 2012. This news motivated Katie to do something with her life and she went on to record a CD of modern country songs.
One year later, Katie received the devastating news the tumour had returned and she would have to start treatment again in Liverpool. Despite this, Katie focused on her music to help her cope and has released her debut album 'It Gets Getter'. A donation from the sales of the CD will go to the Christopher McKeown Memorial Fund. Christopher was Katie's nephew who was diagnosed with cancer at the same time as her but sadly lost his battle in 2013.

Katie gave an interview in the Local Woman Magazine (below) describing her journey.
