The Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group waved a fond farewell to visiting French student Amélie Fréneau today.
Amélie came to the group three months ago to gain overseas experience working in an laboratory environment. Amélie focussed on immunohistochemistry during her time with the group, having recently completed a degree in Biology. Subsequently she was responsible for examining DNA mismatch repair genes in non small cell lung cancer.
Amélie will now go on to study a Masters in Pharmacogenomics at the University of Montpellier.
LOORG would like to wish Amélie the very best of luck.
