Natalie Kipling
Biomedical Scientist
Natalie is a biomedical scientist with a background in clinical diagnostics. She has 13 years’ experience working across multiple disciplines within the NHS including biochemistry, cellular pathology, molecular pathology and genomics.
Natalie is currently working on a collaborative digital pathology project between the NHS, Roche diagnostics and 6 major Universities. The aim of the project is to create algorithms by using an antibody panel along side a scoring system to detect tumours with high and low levels of protein expression for use in predicting a patients response to immunotherapy treatment. Alongside this, Natalie is undertaking a PhD in Uveal Melanoma, looking at the tumour microenvironment of the liver metastases. She has a keen interest in the molecular pathology of cancer, the immune environment and companion diagnostics.
